We hope you are as excited as we are to celebrate Global Sharing Week (June 7-13, 2015 - the World's largest people-driven campaign raising public awareness to the Sharing Economy. Created by the non-profit group The People Who Share, Global Sharing Week raises the profile of the over 8,000 sharing initiatives around the world and helps people, businesses and communities access shared resources creating value for all.
Joining #GlobalSharingDay last year, we reached over 100 million people from Brazil to the Netherlands right back round to the UK, and this year we’re looking to do it all over again with the promise of reaching even more people through a week of sharing!
In order to do this, we want you to celebrate Global Sharing Week with us, so we've put together two free events in Brighton:
''Would you trust a stranger? The importance of trust in the Sharing Economy'
Thursday June 11, 6.30pm - 9pm
The Verdict, 159 Edward Street, BN2 0JB, Brighton, UK

Sharing saves us time, it allows us to access things we couldn't normally afford, it's kinder to the planet, it's fun and it makes us happy. But sharing's main concern is trust... would you trust a stranger in your home? Would you share a car with someone you've never met before and you know nothing about?
Come listen to experts in the Sharing Economy from the likes of It's All Share, Trustedhousesitters.com, Onfido and Good Gym have to say about trust. We’ll also be hosting our infamous sharing table, so please bring everything from jewellery to books that you wish to share and swap with others.
This event has been organised in collaboration with SE UK.

According to It's All Share's research, globally there are over £3.5 trillion worth of unused stuff... so why not start sharing some? So as the world’s one-stop comparison marketplace of the Sharing Economy, we will also be bringing to The Level Summer Festival (Brighton) a 'Sharing Table' to encourage sharing amongst attendees. Think clothing, books, music, decorative objects, jewellery, food... anything you can easily transport to our Sharing Table!
It’s easy, it’s free and it’s fun! But that is only a fraction of the terrific offerings set to be found at the festival – there’ll be live music, creative workshops, great food and drink, community performances, swing dance lessons, fairground rides, children's entertainment and lots more!
The Sharing Economy is growing incredibly fast. In a recent report we published titled 'What we know about the Global Sharing Economy', we found that the Sharing Economy is developing faster than Facebook, Google and Yahoo combined! With that knowledge, lets keep the sharing economy alive and grow it to its full potential and beyond. Spread the word; bring friends - sharers unite!
